The photos posted below have all been taken to show evidence that there is in fact life after death, or at least some kind of existence beyond our reality. These photos do not show any kind of computer trickery, but instead show actual ghostly images that have manifested before us just as the photos were taken allowing us to capture proof that ghost really do exist. Of course, there are a few photos that are only examples of pareidolia, which is quite common. Basically, it is when you think you see something in an image of trees, bushes, shadows, or whatever, but it is simply the pixelation in the photo causing this interesting effect. Read the photo captions carefully.
Dive into the history of one of New York State's former psychiatric centers. Established in 1885, at one time it had as many as 10,000 patients and boasted more than 150 buildings. After closing its doors in 1996, the grounds were converted into a state park, while the remainder of the buildings remained abandoned. Today, it is a virtual playground for photographers, urban explorers, paranormal investigators, scavengers, and vandals. In this 3-volume historical reference set by author Jason Medina, you will find over 3,100 images, including maps, floorplans, blueprints, and historic photos, as well as personal stories by former employees and patients.
