Of course, I have to add a blog about the KPPC. I am currently writing a book about this place called "KPPC: A Journey Through History," which will be immediately followed by my second book entitled "KPPC: A Photographic Journey." Both books will feature photographs of the hospital both while it was open and after it was abandoned. The first book will differ because it will also have a history on the hospital, stories by former employees and patients, maps, blueprints, actual hospital forms, a historical timeline, and so much more.

Incidentally, I am looking for someone with detailed knowledge on the cemeteries of the hospital. I know the names of the cemeteries and where they were located. What I need is the years they were established. What year were the memorial stones placed at Potter's Field and Indian Head Cemetery? When was the cross removed from Indian Head Cemetery?
Also, if you have a story about the KPPC that you think might be good for my book, then please do not hesitate to share it.
2012 Update: By the way, I have decided to delay the completion of this book until I can get some decent photos of the demolition process scheduled from May of 2012 until November of 2013. I don't think I will delay until the end, but I do plan to wait a few months. In the meantime I will be working on writing novels, which some people have been waiting for me to do. The first one will take place at the abandoned KPPC. It will be entitled, "A Forgotten Man in a Forgotten Land." Stay tuned for more on that as I come closer to completing the story. It was already written over a year ago, but I have a lot of changes to make, so it will be more accurate. Please, be patient and I promise you will not be disappointed.
