Located on North Broadway in Yonkers, this park has an interesting history. The Son of Sam killer from the 1970s used to belong to a Satanic cult and they would often go to this park to conduct their rituals. Most of the rituals, which included animal sacrifices, were conducted at an abandoned old pump station for the old aqueduct. This house was nicknamed the Devil's Cave, despite the fact that it was not actually a cave.
Unfortunately, this structure was demolished a few years ago. However, a few locations that still exist in the park are the gazebo atop the "Eagle's Nest", the beautiful picturesque Grecian Garden, a World Trade Center memorial, and the "1,000 Steps" that lead to a lovely view of the Hudson River and Palisades.
We've done a few paranormal investigations at Untermyer Park and in the process have collected a few EVPs, some rather strange photos, and one of us has even been touched by an unseen entity.
